Banana silk Saree/ Valainar Pattu saree

Banana Pith Sarees: Indigenously called ‘Vaazhai naar pattu’, these sustainable weaves are made from the fibres of the stem of plantain trees. The fibres from the banana pith is made into yarns which are then weaved into sarees involving a lengthy process. With a soft texture, these banana pith sarees are light-weighted and hence easy to drape and great to flaunt with.
